Bachelor of Arts

Candidates who have passed intermediate examination I.A./I.Sc./I.Com. or +2 of Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent examination offered by other approved National/ State Boards.

Bachelor of Science

Candidates who have passed the intermediate I.Sc or +2 Science Stream only of Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent examinations offered by other approved National/ State Boards.

Bachelor of Commerce

Candidates who have passed intermediate examination I.A./I.Sc./I.Com. or +2 of Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent examination offered by other approved National/ State Boards.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

Seeing is believing. Believing is comprehension. And comprehension becomes reality when it becomes functional. When Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, on August 16, 2016, visualized the concept of Munger University, during one of his development tours, nobody knew it will become a reality within a span of two years.

Munger University is a state university and was established through the bifurcation of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University, Bhagalpur. It has jurisdiction spreading over five districts: Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Jamui and Khagaria under Munger Division in Bihar.

Munger University came into existence on 18th March, 2018 under the Bihar State Universities (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Bihar Act – 1/2017), and is presently functioning from SCIENCE BLOCK of R. D. & D. J. College Munger – 811201, which is situated almost in between ruins of ancient Nalanda and Vikramshila Vishwavidyalaya.  

Prof. Ranjit Kumar Verma, an expert in Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, is the first Vice-Chancellor of Munger University, Munger. Having a scientific temperament and youthful energy, he is adopting measures to make the University an ’embodiment of higher education’.

Prof. Kusum Kumari, an expert in Philosophy, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Colonel Arun Kumar Singh (Retd.) is the Registrar of the University.

Bills Pertaining to the creation of Munger, Purnia and Patliputra University were passed by the State Legislature in 2016, and official Gazette for the same were published subsequently. The formation of the University was notified in March 2018 by the Government’s pronouncement in the Gazette.

At present, there are 17 constituent colleges, 12 affiliated colleges, 5 single faculty education colleges (Affiliated B. Ed. Colleges) and one affiliated law college in the Munger University. It has been registered under section 22 of the UGC and AIU.

PATNA University UG Regular and Vocational Admission 2025-29 Online Form, Eligibility Criteria, How to Apply, Important Dates

PATNA University UG Regular and Vocational Admission 2025-29: Online submission of application forms for admission to the undergraduate programmes of Arts (Honours), Science (Honours) and Commerce (regular & self-finance) (Honours) of 4-year duration under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) will begin from 24 April 2025 and continue till 23 31 May 2025.

Admission to these programmes will be based on the marks obtained by the applicants in the Intermediate or +2 examination. The candidates will complete a separate application form for regular and vocational (self-finance) courses. Admission seeking in regular courses is only based on sports & fine arts quota; the candidate must tick the category and accordingly pay the requisite fee.

Besides, online application forms for the following 3-year undergraduate vocational (self-finance) programmes will also be submitted from 24 April 2025 to 23 May 2025. (a) Bachelor in Computer Application, (b) Bachelor in Business Administration, (c) Bachelor in Mass Communication, (d) Bachelor in Biotechnology, (e) Bachelor in Functional English, (f) Bachelor in Environmental Science. Admission to the above programmes will be taken based on marks obtained by the applicants in the Intermediate or +2 examination.

Overview of PATNA University UG Regular and Vocational Admission 2025-29 Online Form

Admission to the above programmes will be taken based on marks obtained by the applicants in the Intermediate or +2 examinations. For further details, visit the Patna University Website: www.pup.ac.in.

Online application for admission to 4-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) programmes will also be filled up from 24 April, 2025 to 23 31 May, 2025. Admission to the BFA programme will be based on marks obtained by the applicant in the entrance test to be conducted by the Patna University.

Education Qualification

For the UG Science Course

Candidates who have passed the I.Sc. or +2 Science Stream only intermediate examination administered by the Bihar School Examination Board, or an examination of a similar nature administered by another recognised National/State Board.

For the UG Commerce Course

Candidates who have passed the I.A./I.Sc./I.Com. intermediate examination, the +2 test, or a comparable examination offered by a recognised national or state board.

For the UG Arts Course

Candidates who have passed the intermediate examination I.A./I.Sc./I.Com or +2 of the Bihar School Examination Board or equivalent examination offered by other approved National/State Boards.

Admission Mode

Admission to this programme will be based on marks obtained by the applicants in the entrance test to be conducted by Patna University.
