NOTIFICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF ACT APPRENTICES
FOR TRAINING SLOTS IN EASTERN RAILWAY UNITS

Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates who are Indian Nationals for training in Workshops and Divisions of Eastern Railway as Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, as amended from time to time. Applications must be submitted online and no other mode of submission of applications would be entertained.
The online link will be live on the official website of RRC-ER from 30/09/2022 onwards and would remain to live up to 29/10/2022. The candidates should click on the live link and fill up their Application forms as per the instructions of this notification.

Important Dates
- Notification Available: 23 September 2022
- Online Apply Start: 30 September 2022
- Application Close Date: 29 October 2022
Application Fee
- General / OBC / EWS Candidates: Rs. 100/ (Non – Refundable)
- SC / ST / PwD Candidates: Rs. 00/-
Payment Mode: The payment of fees will have to be made online through ‘Payment Gateway’ available with the online Application Form while filling up the online Application Form. The payment can be made by using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking etc. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidate. At times, there may be server issues because of a huge rush, which may affect the online payment system. In such a scenario, the candidate needs to log in fresh and attempt again.
Age limit
- Minimum Age: 15 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
- Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in the case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in the case of OBC-NCL candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates.
Education Qualification
The candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% marks, in aggregate, from the recognized Board and also should possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
However, for the following Trades the minimum educational qualification is an 8th class pass from a recognized School and the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT:
- Welder (Gas and Electric)
- Sheet Metal Worker
- Lineman
- Wireman
- Carpenter
- Painter (General)

INVALID APPLICATIONS
- The applications having any one of the following deficiencies/discrepancies or irregularities will be summarily rejected:
- Signature in Block/Capital Letter.
- Left Thumb Impression/ Signature not affixed on the application and at the prescribed place
- Smudged/Blurred LTI
- Caste certificates and other certificates are not uploaded and not obtained from the appropriate authority.
- Non-payment of the prescribed fee (where applicable).
- Not having requisite educational and or technical qualifications as notified.
- More than one application by a single candidate.
- Applications are sent by any other mode than the online mode.
- Any other irregularities which are considered invalid by RRC.
- The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) / Eastern Railway reserves the right to reject incomplete applications.
