Post-Wise Education Qualification
Material Assistant
- Graduate in any discipline from any recognized university or have a diploma in material management or a certificate in engineering in any discipline from any recognized institution.
Junior Office Assistant (JOA)
- 12th Class pass from a recognized Board or University.
- a Typing Speed of 35 words per minute in English on the computer or a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi on the computer.
Civil Motor Driver (OG)
- Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board, Civilian Driving license of heavy vehicles, and two years experience driving such vehicles.
Tele Operator Grade-II
- Essential:-
- 10+2 or equivalent with English as a compulsory subject.
- Proficiency in handling the PBX board.
- Desirable:-
- Fluency in spoken English.
Fireman
- Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
Carpenter & Joiner
- Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Certificate in the trade from a recognized ITI of 3 years of training and/or Experience of actual work in the trade.
Painter & Decorator
- Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board
- Certificate in the trade from a recognized ITI of 3 years of training and/or Experience of actual work in the trade.
MTS
- Essential: –
- Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Desirable: –
- Conversant with the duties of the respective trades with one year’s experience in trade
Tradesman Mate
- Essential: –
- Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Desirable: –
- Certificate in any Trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute.

Introduction
Army Ordnance Corps is responsible for providing logistics support to the Indian Army during war and peace.
Function
The logistics function of the Army Ordnance Corps involves the mechanics of provisioning and procuring all stores required to raise and maintain an efficient and effective fighting army. The aim is to make available all kinds of stores to all units of the army at the right time, in the right quantity, at the right place, and right cost.
The inventory range covers every conceivable requirement of the soldier from clothing to weapons, from a needle to a tank, and also all munitions except fuel, fodder, and medicines. The inventory management functions involve provisioning, procurement, receipt, accounting, storage, issuing, transportation, and disposal of all clothing, equipment, weapons, vehicles, ammunition, and spares of all kinds. It is no mean feat to manage one of the largest and most complex logistics efforts in the world.
