Under section 3 of the Bihar School Examination Act – 1952, the Bihar School Examination Board, also known as the BSEB, is a statutory body under the jurisdiction of the Bihar government. It was established to administer examinations at the secondary and senior secondary levels in both public and private schools in Bihar.

The Bihar government’s authorized syllabus serves as the basis for conducting the exam. Its main office is in Patna, the state capital. In addition to school exams, departmental exams are also administered by it, including the Physical Education Diploma, Certificate, and Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) for the state of Bihar, the Simultala Residential Entrance Exams (which are required for admission to Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya), the Examination for the Diploma in Elementary Education, and more.

Twice a year, the board administers exams for secondary and senior secondary schools. Every year, there are two types of examinations: the annual board examinations held in February or March, and the supplementary examination held in May or June.

As per the syllabus, math, science, and social science, two language subjects are compulsory subjects for Class 10 students. Apart from this, they can choose one optional subject: a language or an elective subject. Bihar Board Matric Scrutiny Online Form 2024.

Selection Process
  • The online examination may be conducted online only at IBPS, Mumbai, or in multiple venues across many centres in India depending upon the response to an advertisement. If the online examination is conducted only at IBPS, efforts will be made to complete the entire selection process on the same day. However, it may continue until the end of the day or may get extended to the next day depending on the response received. The schedule of the process for each post will be communicated accordingly.
