The Union Public Service Commission is introducing a new Online Application Portal for registration and filling up of application form online. The portal has four modules, three of which, namely, Account creation, Universal Registration, and Common Application Form, are common to all examination applications and can be filled out anytime by the candidate, while the fourth module is examination-specific and can be filled out during the period allowed in notification of an examination. Applicants are required to apply online by using the website https://upsconline.nic.in.

• Notification Issue Date: 10 December 2025
• Apply Online Start Date: 10 December 2025
• Online Apply Last Date: 30 December 2025 up to 23:00 hrs
• Fee Payment Last Date: 30 December 230 2025
• Date of Commencement of Examination: 12 April 2026

Application Fee

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment or by using the internet banking facility of any Bank.

• General/OBC/EWS Candidates: Rs. 200/-
• SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 00/-
• Female All-Category Candidates: Rs. 00/-
• Payment Mode: Pay the examination fee through a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI fee mode.

Age limit of UPSC Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2026

• For IMA—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 2003 and not later than 1st January, 2008 only are eligible.
• For Indian Naval Academy—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 2003 and not later than 1st January, 2008, only are eligible.
• For Air Force Academy— i.e., 20 to 24 years as on 1st January, 2027, i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 2003 and not later than 1st January 2007.
• For the Officers’ Training Academy— (SSC Course for men) Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 2002 and not later than 1st January 2008 only are eligible.
• For Officers’ Training Academy—(SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January 2002 and not later than 1st January 2008.

• Candidates passed/appearing Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a recognised university.
