SSC MTS and Havaldar Recruitment 2025: The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission, a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/Departments/ Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/ Statutory Bodies/ Tribunals, etc., in different States/ Union Territories and Havaldar (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of the 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

Age Limit As of 01/08/2025

For MTS

• • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 25 Years

i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.2000 and not later than 01.08.2007).

For a Havaldar in CBIC and CBN

• • Minimum Age: 18 Years
  • Maximum Age: 27 Years

i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2007

Permissible relaxation in the Upper age limit for different categories is as under:

Education Qualification (As on 01-08-2025)

How I Apply Online for the SSC MTS and Havaldar Recruitment 2025

The minimum physical standards for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN are as follows:-

UR/OBC/EWS/SC Candidate: 157.5 CMS ST, Garhwalis, Assamese: 150.5 CMS	Unexpanded: 76 CMS Minimum Expansion: 5 CMS

Female

UR/OBC/EWS/SC Candidates: 152 cms ST, Garhwalis, Assamese, Gorkhas: 149.5 cms	48 kg

CBIC / CBN will conduct PET/ PST at various centers finalized by them. The candidates may be called for PET/ PST at any center across the country.

Reservation will be provided for the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-servicemen (ESM), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), etc., as per extant Govt. Orders

The Commission makes the selection of candidates for the vacancies reported by the User Departments for various posts. The Commission does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies in any User Department. Implementation of the reservation policy, maintaining the reservation roster, and earmarking of vacancies for different categories are under the domain of the User Departments.
