How To Apply for SSC Sub Inspector Delhi Police and CAPF Online Form 2024

  • Applications are required to be submitted in online mode only at the official website of SSC Headquarters, i.e., https://ssc.nic.in.
  • The application module has been designed to capture live photographs of the candidate filling up the application form. The candidates should ensure that the photograph captured is clear, without cap or spectacles, and with a full frontal view.
  • Last date and time for submission of online applications is 28.3.2024 (2300 hours).
  • Candidates are advised, in their interest, to submit online applications much before the closing date of receipt of online applications and not to wait till the last date.
  • Before submitting the online application, candidates must check through the Preview/Print option that they have filled correct details in each field of the Online Application Form.
Pay Scale
  • Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs: The post carries a pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400-Rs.1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial.
  • Sub-Inspector (Executive) – (Male/Female) in Delhi Police: The post carries a pay scale of Level-6 (Rs.35,400 Rs.1,12,400/-) and is classified as Group ‘C’ by Delhi Police.
Selection Process
  • Paper-I, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-II and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). All these stages of the examination are mandatory.

Q. What are the posts for which the SSC conducts exams and what are the required qualifications?

A. (I) The SSC conducts open examinations regularly for posts for which a large number of vacancies exist, these are Graduate Level-assistants, auditors/Jr.Accountants/Upper Division clerks, divisional accountants, inspectors for income tax/central excise, sub-inspectors in central police organisations (CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP and SSB) and the CBI, section offer (Commercial) and section officer (Audit). Matric level-stenographer grade’C’, Stenographer grade ‘D’, and Lower division clerks. (ii) Direct interviews are held for some posts, called selection posts, after inviting applications through advertisements, as and when such vacancies are reported to the commission. Some of such posts are statistical assistant, storekeeper, jr/Sr. Computers, information Assistants, etc.

Q. What are the age limits and age relaxations for examinations conducted by SSC?

The age limits are different for different posts and are to be confirmed from the Notice of Exam published in the Employment News / Rozgar Samachar. Generally, the age limits are 18 to 27 years on the crucial date. The age concession in the upper age limit for SCs/STs is 5 years, for OBCs, it is 3 years and for physically handicapped candidates it is 10 years. For widows, divorced women and judicially separated women, the age limit is 35 years for the UR category; 40 years for SC/ST women and 38 years for OBC women. The Notice of the Exam may be consulted regarding age relaxations for Ex-servicemen and Departmental candidates.
