NVS Navodaya Vidyalaya 6th Class Admission 2026-27 Online Form: According to the National Policy of Education (1986), the Government of India initiated Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). Presently, the JNVs are spread across 27 States and 8 union territories. These are co-educational residential schools fully financed and administered by the Government of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. Admissions in JNVs are made through the JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SELECTION TEST (JNVST) for Class VI.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are bonafide residents of the district and studying in class V in the academic session 2025-26 in Govt. a recognized school in the same district where JNV is functioning and to which they are seeking admission.
Age limit of NVS Navodaya Vidyalaya 6th Class Admission 2026-27 Online Form
- A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 01-05-2014 and after 31-07-2016 (Both dates are inclusive).
Composition of the Test
The selection test will be of a two-hour duration from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm and will have 3 sections with only objective-type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks.

A single test booklet comprising all three sections will be given to each candidate. Additional time of 40 minutes will be allowed for “Divyang Students” (Differently-abled Students)

NVS admission online: Special features
Special emphasis on quality education resulting in:-
- JEE MAIN–2025: 4492 (37.11%) students qualified out of 12103.
- JEE Advanced–2024: 1083 (34.64%) students qualified out of 3126.
- NEET–2024: 19183 (81.03%) students qualified out of 24529.
- Best result in Board Class X and XII (2024-25).
- Class X: 99.49% Class XII: 99.29%
Reservation
- At least 75% of the Seats in a district will be filled by candidates from rural areas.
- Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, and Divyang candidates as per the Govt. Norms.
- A minimum of 1/3 of the seats are reserved for girl students.
Important Documents for Applying Online
Keep the following scanned copies ready before starting to fill the application in JPG Format Only:-
- Candidate’s signature. (Size of the signature should be between 10-100 kb.)
- Parent’s signature. (Size of the signature should be between 10-100 kb.)
- Candidate’s photograph. (Size of the image should be between 10-100 kb.)
- Certificate signed by parent & candidate and verified by Headmaster. (Size of the image should be between 50-300 kb.)
- Residence Certificate of the parent, issued by a competent Government Authority, if the candidate does not possess an Aadhaar Number.
