Indian Air Force Airmen Medical Assistant Recruitment 2026 AirmenIntake 01/2027: Indian Air Force invites ONLINE applications from MALE INDIAN/ GORKHA (A SUBJECT OF NEPAL) citizens from all States and UTs for
selection test on 30 March 2026/ 31 March 2026 to join the Indian Air Force as Airmen in the Group ‘Y’ Medical Assistant trade.

ONLINE REGISTRATION shall commence at 1100 Hr on 12 January 2026 and will close at 2300 Hr on 01 February 2026. Only ONLINE REGISTERED applications shall be accepted. For registration, log on to https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in.

Examination Fee

The examination fee of ₹550/- plus GST is to be paid online by the candidate while registering for the online examination. The payment can be made by Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Internet Banking through a payment gateway. Candidates are advised to follow the instructions/ steps given on the payment gateway, and also print/ keep transaction details for their records

• General/EWS Candidates: Rs. 550/-
• OBC Candidates: Rs. 550/-
• SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 550/-

Payment Mode: You can pay the application fee through a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net banking, or UPI fee mode only.

Age limit

• Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with 10+2): The candidate should be unmarried and born between 01 January 2006 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive).
• Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with a Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy): Unmarried candidates should be born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive). Married candidates should be born between 01 January 2003 and 01 January 2006 (both dates inclusive)

Education Qualification

A candidate should have passed 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from Education Boards recognised bythe  Central, State, and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English.

Mandatory Medical Standards

General Medical Standards for AGNIVEER VAYU are as follows:-

Height:

(i) For Male candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm.
(ii) For Female candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm.

Chest:

Male Candidates: The chest wall should be well-proportioned and well-developed. The minimum chest circumference should be 77 cm, and the chest expansion should be at least 05 cm. 

Female Candidates: The chest wall should be well-proportioned and should have a minimum range of expansion of 05 cm. 

Hearing: The candidate should have normal hearing, i.e., be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.

Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Names of the shortlisted candidates, who qualify for the online test, shall be displayed on the CASB Web Portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in and on a stipulated date, shall be called atthe designated ASC for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test-II. PFT consists of two parts, i.e., PFT-I and PFT-II.

PFT- I

• Candidates have to complete 1.6 Kms run as per the following timings to qualify for PFT-II:–

Male: 1.6 Km run to be completed within seven minutes (07m).

Female: 1.6 Km run to be completed within eight minutes (08m).

PFT- II

Candidates who qualify for PFT-I are to undergo PFT-II after 10 minutes of recuperation time. The sequence of exercises and maximum period for male and female candidates are as follows:-
