Indian Air Force Agniveer 01/2027 Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online: The Indian Air Force has recently invited online applications for the Indian Air Force Vayu Intake 01/2027 Batch. All eligible/interested candidates can apply online from January 12, 2026, to February 1, 2026. According to the New HR methodology for induction of Agniveervayu under the ‘Agnipath Scheme’, aimed to provide an opportunity for the Nation’s youth to experience the military way of life for four years, the Indian Air Force invites ONLINE applications from unmarried Indian males and female candidates for selection test from 30 March 2026/ 31 March 2026. onwards to join the IAF as an AGNIVEERVAYU. The number and employability of female candidates will be decided as per service requirements.
Note: Candidates are advised to register at the earliest opportunity, as no extension of registration dates will be accommodated.

Examination Fee
The examination fee of ₹550/- plus GST is to be paid online by the candidate while registering for the online examination. The payment can be made by Debit Cards/Credit Cards/Internet Banking through a payment gateway. Candidates are advised to follow the instructions/ steps given on the payment gateway, and also print/ keep transaction details for their records
- General/EWS Candidates: Rs. 550/-
- OBC Candidates: Rs. 550/-
- SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 550/-
Payment Mode: You can pay the application fee through a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net banking, or UPI fee mode only.
Age limit
- Minimum Age: 17.5 Years
- Maximum Age: 23 Years
- Candidates born between 01 January 2006 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.
- In case a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as of the date of enrolment should be 21 years.
Education Qualification
Science Subjects
Candidates should have passed the Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from an Education Board listed as a COBSE member with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
Passed Three years of Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in the Diploma Course).
OR
Passed Two years of Vocational courses with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Mathematics from State Education Boards/Councils, which are listed in COBSE, with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in the vocational course).
Other than Science Subjects
Passed Intermediate/10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central/State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
Passed two years’ vocational course fromthe Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in the Vocational Course).
Mandatory Medical Standards
General Medical Standards for AGNIVEER VAYU are as follows:-
Height:
(i) For Male candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm.
(ii) For Female candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm. For candidates belonging to the east or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 cm will be accepted. In the case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 cm.
Chest:
Male Candidates: The chest wall should be well-proportioned and well-developed. The minimum chest circumference should be 77 cm, and the chest expansion should be at least 05 cm.Â
Female Candidates: The chest wall should be well-proportioned and should have a minimum range of expansion of 05 cm.Â
Hearing: The candidate should have normal hearing, i.e., be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.
Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Names of the shortlisted candidates, who qualify for the online test, shall be displayed on the CASB Web Portal https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in and on a stipulated date, shall be called atthe designated ASC for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test-II. PFT consists of two parts, i.e., PFT-I and PFT-II.
PFT- I
- Candidates have to complete 1.6 Kms run as per the following timings to qualify for PFT-II:–
Male: 1.6 Km run to be completed within seven minutes (07m).
Female: 1.6 Km run to be completed within eight minutes (08m).
PFT- II
Candidates who qualify for PFT-I are to undergo PFT-II after 10 minutes of recuperation time. The sequence of exercises and maximum period for male and female candidates are as follows:-

Terminal Benefits – Seva Nidhi Package: AGNIVEERVAYU will be given a time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package comprising their monthly contribution along with matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below:-

Documents to be Uploaded
- Class 10th /matriculation passing certificate.
- Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent mark sheet.
- Passport-size recent color photograph (taken not before January 2023) of size 10 KB to 50 KB.
- Candidate’s left-hand thumb impression image (Size 10 KB to 50 KB).
- Candidate’s signature image (Size 10 KB to 50 KB).
- Candidate’s parents (Father/Mother) / Guardian’s signature image (if a candidate is below 18 years old on the date of filling out the online application).
- Valid E-mail ID and Mobile Number.

Note-1. AGNIVEERVAYU will not be required to contribute to any Provident Fund in the Indian Air Force.
Note-3. The original passing certificates/marks sheets shall not be retained by the selection center. The same shall be returned to the candidates on completion of detailed verification.
Note-4. Internet copies of marks-sheet are not acceptable.
Note-5. Candidates are strictly prohibited from doing any rough work or writing anything anywhere on the Admit Cards issued for Phase I and Phase II. Such candidates will be DEBARRED PERMANENTLY.
