Examination Fee
An examination fee of Rs. 550/- (Rupees Five hundred fifty only) plus 18% GST has to be paid by the candidate during the Stage I– INET application through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI. The admit card will be issued for the examination only to those candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee
Candidate should be born between 01 May 2005 – 31 Oct 2009 (Both dates inclusive).

Education Qualification
Qualified in 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) from the Boards of School Education recognised by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, with 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
- Before filling out the online application, keep the matric certificate & 10+2 Mark sheet ready for reference.
- Register yourself on www.joinindiannavy.gov.in with your e-mail ID, if not registered already. The Applicants must ensure that while filling out their Application Form, they are providing their valid and active email IDs and mobile numbers, which should not be changed till the selection procedure is over.
- Log in with the registered E-mail ID and click on “Current Opportunities”.
- Click on the “Apply” (√) button.
- Fill out the Form completely. Before clicking the ‘Submit’ button, make sure all the details are correct, and all required documents are scanned in original & uploaded.
- Online applications will be further scrutinised for eligibility and may be rejected at any stage if found ineligible in any respect.
- Photographs. The Photograph To Be Uploaded Should Be Of Good Quality With Blue Background.
Selection Process
Stage-I INET exam will be conducted for the SSR (MED) 02/2027 batch on May 26. Based on the marks obtained in stage I – INET, candidates will be shortlisted for stage II for SSR (MED) 02/2027 separately.
Stage I: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET)
Stage II: Physical & Medical Evaluation

Stage IV: Recruitment Medical Examination
Written Exam (INET)
The stage II written exam will be conducted only for those candidates who qualify for the PFT. The details of the stage II written exam are as follows:-
- The question paper will comprise 100 questions of 01 mark each.
- The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and objective type (multiple-choice).
- The question paper will comprise four sections, i.e. English, Science, Biology and General Awareness.
- The standard of the question paper will be that of 10+2. Syllabus & sample papers for the examination are available on the website https://joinindiannavy.gov.in.
- The duration of the examination will be one hour.
- The candidates are required to pass in all sections as well as in aggregate. The Indian Navy reserves the right to determine the passing marks in each Section and in aggregate.
Physical Test:
The standards for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Qualifying in the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk. PFT standard is as follows:-

Training
Training: Basic training for SSR (Med) 02/2027 will commence in May 2027 at INS Chilka, Odisha, followed by Professional training.
Discharge as Unsuitable: Sailors are liable to be discharged as “UNSUITABLE” due to unsatisfactory performance at any time during the training or service tenure.
