Important Dates

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET (UG) -2026) will be conducted in 13 languages across India for admission into Undergraduate Programmes in all Central Universities (CUs) and participating Universities in India for the academic year 2026-27.

Notification Issue Date: 03 January 2026
Online Application Date: 03 January 2026
Registration Last Date: 30 January 2026 till 11:50 PM
Fee Payment Last Date: 31 January 2026 till 11:50 PM
Correction Date: 02 February 2026 to 04 February 2026 (up to 11.50 PM)
Admit Card: Available Soon
Exam Date: Between 11 May 2026 and 31 May 2026

Application Fee

For CUET (UG) 2025, fees will be charged based on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates. The following fee structure is applicable for CUET (UG) – 2026:-

Centres Outside India	Rs. 4500/-	Rs. 1800/- (Each)

Payment Mode: Pay the application fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Eligibility Criteria

CUET UG Admission 2026-27: There is no age limit for candidates appearing in the CUET (UG) -2025. Candidates who have passed the Class 12th/equivalent examination or are appearing in 2025, irrespective of their age, can appear in the CUET (UG) -2025 examination. However, the candidates will be required to fulfill the age criteria (if any) of the University to which they are desirous of taking admission.

Examination Structure for CUET (UG) – 2026

CUET UG Admission 2026-27 CUET (UG) will consist of the following 4 Sections:

- Section IA – 13 Languages
- Section IB – 19 Languages
- Section II – 27 Domain-Specific Subjects
- Section III – General Test

Level of questions for CUET (UG) -2026

All questions in various testing areas will be benchmarked at the level of Class XII only. Students who have studied the Class XII Board syllabus will be able to do well in CUET (UG) -2026-27.

Number of attempts

If any University permits students of previous years of class XII to take admission in the current year, such students would also be eligible to appear in CUET (UG) – 2026-27.

Choice of Languages and Subjects

Generally, the languages/subjects chosen should be the ones a student has opted for in his latest Class XII Board examination. However, if any University permits any flexibility in this regard, the same can also be exercised under CUET (UG) -2026-27. Candidates must carefully refer to the eligibility requirements of various Central Universities in this regard. Moreover, if the subject to be studied in the Undergraduate course is not available in the list of 27 Domain Specific Subjects being offered, the Candidate may choose the Subject closest to their choice, e.g. For Biochemistry, the candidate may choose Biology.

Medium of Exam

13 languages ( Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odiya, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, English, Hindi, and Urdu).
