Patna High Court Stenographer Recruitment 2025: Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment to 111 (68 Regular vacancy + 43 Backlog vacancy of the Direct Recruitment exercises of Stenographers in year 2022 & 2023) vacant posts of Stenographer (Group-C Post) in Pay Level 4 (₹25500/- to ₹81100/-) of the pay matrix of the 7th PRC, plus usual allowances as admissible under The Patna High Court Officers and Staff (Recruitment, Appointment, Promotion and Other Conditions of Service and Conduct) Rules, 2021, as amended from time to time in The Establishment of the High Court of Judicature at Patna.

Age Limit as 01 January 2025

A candidate for direct recruitment to the post of Stenographer must not be below 18 years of age as on the 1st January, 2025, i.e., a candidate must not be born later than 01.01.2007.

• UR: 37 Years (Unreserved & EWS – Male)
• UR: 40 Years (Unreserved & EWS – Female)
• BC/EBC: 40 Years (Male & Female)
• SC / ST: 42 Years (Male & Female)

Education Qualification

The applicant must possess the following essential educational qualification/Computer Qualification for the post of Stenographer as on the date of publication of the advertisement:-

1. Intermediate (12th Passed) from a recognised Board/ University; and
2. Certificate of English Shorthand and English Typing from a recognised institution; and
3. Diploma/ Certificate of at least six months’ Course in Computer Application from a recognised institution; and
4. Minimum speed of 80 words per minute in English shorthand; and
5. Minimum speed of 40 words per minute in English Typing.

Selection Mode & Pay Scale

Selection Mode:

1. Written Test
   • Part-A:- English Shorthand Computer Typing Test
   • Part B:- MCQ-Based Objective Type.
   • Part-C:- English Typing Test
2. Interview

Minimum Qualifying Standard:- The minimum qualifying standard shall be:-

1. 40% in Objective Written Test
2. 85% accuracy in English Shorthand-Typing
3. 90% accuracy in English Typing
4. 30% in the Interview.

Pay Scale: 

• Pay Level 4 (₹25500/- to ₹81100/-) of the pay matrix of the 7th PRC plus usual allowances
