IAF Airmen Group Y Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025: Indian Air Force invites ONLINE applications from MALE INDIAN/ GORKHA (A SUBJECT OF NEPAL) citizens from all States and UTs for selection test from 25 September 2025 onwards to join the  Indian Air Force as Airmen in the Group ‘Y’ Medical Assistant trade. The application is required to be filled out only ONLINE by the candidates, and detailed instructions to fill up the same are available at www.airmenselection.cdac.in

This examination is valid for AIRMEN INTAKE 02/2026. ONLINE REGISTRATION shall commence at 1100 Hr on 11 July 2025 and will close at 2300 Hr on 31 July 2025. Only ONLINE REGISTERED applications shall be accepted. For registration, log on to www.airmenselection.cdac.in. Examination Fee for IAF Airmen Group Y Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025

The examination fee of ₹550/- plus GST is to be paid online by the candidate while registering for the online examination. The payment can be made by Debit Cards/Credit Cards,/Internet Banking through a payment gateway. Candidates are advised to follow the instructions/ steps given on the payment gateway, and also print/ keep transaction details for their records

• General/EWS Candidates: Rs. 550/-
• OBC Candidates: Rs. 550/-
• SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 550/-

Payment Mode: You can pay the application fee through a Debit Card, Credit Card, Net banking, or UPI fee mode only.

Eligibility Criteria of IAF Airmen Group Y Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025

Age limit

Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with 10+2): The candidate should be unmarried and born between 02 July 2005 and 02 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).

Medical Assistant trade (For candidates with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy): Unmarried candidates should be born between 02 July 2002 and 02 July 2007 (both dates inclusive). Married candidates should be born between 02 July 2002 and 02 July 2005 (both dates inclusive)

In case a candidate clears all the stages of the Selection Procedure, then the upper age limit as on the date of enrolment should be 21 years for candidates with 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent, including vocational course, and 24 Years for candidates holding Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy.

Education Qualification

Candidate should have passed 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State, and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English. OR

Should have passed two years’ Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State, and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Candidate with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy: Candidate should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. In addition, Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from the State Pharmacy Council or the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment will be a mandatory requirement.

Mandatory Medical Standards

General Physical/ Medical Standards to become an Airmen are as follows:-

Weight: Weight should be proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.

Chest: Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cm, and chest expansion must be at least 05 cm

Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing, i.e., able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.

Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

General Health: Candidates should be fit for the Air Force, must conform to the medical standards. Candidates should be of normal anatomy without loss or deformity of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection, and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Gender: Any candidate found to have predominant characteristics of the opposite gender as evident on external physical examination will be rejected as Unfit. Any candidate who has undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared Unfit.

Height & Visual Standards: Visual standards and minimum acceptable height for Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant (Pharmacist) for recruitment are as follows:-

How to Apply for IAF Airmen Group Y Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025

• IAF Airmen Group Y Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025.
• Candidates are to fill out ONLINE Applications by logging on to www.airmenselection.cdac.in
• During online registration, the following documents are to be uploaded as applicable by respective candidates:-
  • Class 10th/ matriculation passing certificate.
  • Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination marks sheet with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State, and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English.
• Candidate with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy. Mark sheet of Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
• Passport size recent colour photograph (taken not before June 2025) of size 10 KB to 100 KB. ( name and the date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters)
• Candidate’s left-hand thumb impression image (Size 10 KB to 100 KB).
• Candidate’s signature image (Size 10 KB to 100 KB).
• Candidate’s parents (Father/ Mother)/ Guardian’s signature image (if the candidate is below 18 years on the date of filling the online application).

Documents to be Uploaded

• Class 10th /matriculation passing certificate.
• Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent mark sheet.
• Passport size recent color photograph (taken not before January 2023) of size 10 KB to 50 KB.
• Candidate’s left-hand thumb impression image (Size 10 KB to 50 KB).
• Candidate’s signature image (Size 10 KB to 50 KB).
• Candidate’s parents (Father/Mother) / Guardian’s signature image (if a candidate is below 18 years old on the date of filling out the online application).
• Valid E-mail ID and Mobile Number.

Selection Process, and Pay & Allowances

Pay & Allowances:

During training, a stipend of ₹14,600/- per month shall be paid. On completion of training, the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of the scale of pay, including Military Service Pay (MSP), are ₹26,900/- per month. In addition, dearness allowances (as applicable), which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.

Selection Process: 

Phase-I 

Online Test. Eligible candidates will be sent admit cards for Phase-I of testing on their registered e-mail IDs between 48-72 Hr before
The examination. Candidates are required to download the admit card, take a colour printout, and carry the same to the examination centre. This provisional admit card can also be downloaded by the candidate under the candidate’s login on the CASB web portal www.airmenselection.cdac.in. The online test will be objective type, and questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except for the English paper. Candidates are to bring one blue/ black pen and their original AADHAAR card along with them for Phase I testing. Details of the test are as follows:-

• Duration of online test will be 45 minutes and shall comprise English as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General
  Awareness (RAGA).
• Marking Pattern for Online Test (Objective).
  • One mark for every correct answer.
  • Nil (0) mark for un-attempted question.
  • 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Phase-II

Soon after the declaration of the result of Phase-I (Online) Test, a cut off will be applied on the normalised marks scored by the candidates in the Phase-I Test if normalisation is applied, and SHORTLISTED candidates will be sent a new Admit Card on their registered e-mail IDs for Phase-II test at a designated ASC.
