UGC NET June 2025 Exam City Intimation 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct UGC NET June 2025 Examination for 85 subjects in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at different cities across the country from 25th June 2025 to 29th June 2025. The NTA is now displaying the Advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City for UGC – NET June 2025 to be conducted on 25th June 2025.

- Online Apply Last Date: 07 May 2025 (upto 11:59 P.M)

- Correction in the Particulars in Online Application Form: 09th May 2025 to 10th May 2025 (upto 11:59 P.M)

Application Fee of UGC NET June 2025 Exam City Intimation 2025
अनारक्षित वर्ग के उम्मीदवारों को 1,150 रुपये का रजिस्ट्रेशन शुल्क देना होगा। जबकि इडब्ल्यूएस (EWS) और ओबीसी-एनसीएल (OBC-NCL) के उम्मीदवारों को 600 रुपये का भुगतान करना होगा। एससी (SC), एसटी (ST) के छात्रों को 600 रुपये का भुगतान करना होगा। पीडब्ल्यूडी (PwD) श्रेणी के लिए रजिस्ट्रेशन शुल्क 325 रुपये जमा करना होगा।

- General-EWS/OBC-NCL Candidates: Rs. 600/-
- SC/ST/PWD Candidates: Rs. 325/-

UGC NET June 2025 Exam City Intimation 2025 Eligiblity Criteria
अनारक्षित श्रेणियों के उम्मीदवारों को यूजीसी द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान या विश्वविद्यालय से मास्टर डिग्री या समकक्ष परीक्षा में 55 प्रतिशत अंक प्राप्त होने चाहिए। एससी, एसटी, पीडब्ल्यूडी और ओबीसी-एनसीएल श्रेणियों से संबंधित उम्मीदवारों के पास 50% अंकों के साथ मास्टर डिग्री होनी चाहिए।
Age limit as on 01 June 2025
- JRF: Not more than 30 years as on the 01st day of the month in which the examination is concluded.
- Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit for applying for UGC-NET for Assistant Professor.
- Admission to PhD: There is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET for Admission to PhD.
How to Apply Step by Step UGC NET June 2025
- 1: Apply for Online Registration.
- 2: Fill Online Application Form.
- 3: Pay Examination Fee.
Pattern of Examination
The Test will consist of two papers. Both papers will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no break between papers.

Medium of the Question Paper
- The medium of the Question Paper shall be in English & Hindi only, except for language papers.
- Option for the medium of the Question Paper should be carefully chosen by the Candidate while filling out the Application
Form online. The option, once exercised, cannot be changed. - Candidates are required to answer in the medium as per the option exercised in the Application Form.
- In case of any ambiguity in translation/construction of a question in the exam, its English version shall be treated
as final, and the decision of NTA shall be final in this regard.
Marking Scheme of UGC NET June 2025 Exam City Intimation 2025
- Each question carries 02 (two) marks.
- For each correct response, the candidate will get 02 marks.
- There is no negative marking for incorrect responses.
- No marks will be given for questions unanswered/un-attempted/marked for Review.
- To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as the correct one.
- If a question is found to be incorrect/ambiguous or has multiple correct answers, only those candidates who have attempted the question and chosen one of the correct answers will be given credit.
- If a question is found to be incorrect and the Question is dropped, then two marks (+2) will be awarded only to those candidates who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error. Since there is no negative marking, the candidate needs to choose the most appropriate option as the correct answer.

The candidates are advised to check/download their Examination City Intimation Slip of UGC-NET June 2025 (using their Application No. and Date of Birth) from the website https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/w.e.f. 19th June 2025, and go through the instructions contained therein.
The Candidates may please note that this is NOT the Admit Card for the examination. This is advance information for the allotment of the city where the Examination Centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates.
The Admit Card of UGC-NET June 2025 shall be issued later.

Instructions for UGC – NET June 2025
- The eligibility for NET will depend on the performance of the candidate in both papers of UGC-NET in aggregate. However, the candidates qualifying exclusively for ‘Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.’ or for ‘admission to Ph.D. only’ will not be considered for the award of JRF. Candidates appearing in UGC-NET should thoughtfully select the various options available in the Application Form. Candidates who qualify for the Test for eligibility for Assistant Professor will be governed by the rules and regulations for the recruitment of Assistant Professors of the concerned Universities / Colleges/ State governments, as the case may be.
- The candidates who qualify for the award of JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or a related subject, and are also eligible for Assistant Professor. The universities, institutions, IITs, and other national organizations may select the JRF awardees for full-time research work by the procedure prescribed by them.
- Junior Research Fellowship: Candidates qualifying for the award of JRF will be eligible to receive a fellowship from UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities/IITs/Institutions. The validity period of the offer will be three years w.e.f. The date of issue of the JRF Award Letter. However, for those candidates who have already joined a Ph.D. program, the date of commencement of Fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET result or the date of their joining, whichever is later.
- The National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students (NFSC) and National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC) shall be governed by the guidelines available on the official websites of the concerned Ministries…
